Inline skating has long been recognized as an effective cross-training activity for skiing enthusiasts. The team at Rollerblade® shares a passion for both activities, prompting us to create a structured training program that closely simulates the movements and techniques essential for skiing. By collaborating with the esteemed Professional Ski Instructors of America® and U.S. Ski and Snowboard, we developed a comprehensive program based on established training methodologies.
Presented in a series of videos and an accompanying guidebook, this program is strategically divided into Phases to facilitate progression. Phase 1 focuses on fundamental skills to prepare participants for advanced training. Phases 2-4 delve into specialized cross-training exercises tailored specifically for skiing enthusiasts. Drawing inspiration from the training drills endorsed by PSIA and the U.S. Ski Team, these drills aim to enhance performance and mimic on-snow experiences.
We invite you to explore this program, which we found both engaging to create and beneficial to experience. By diligently following the program and progressing through all phases, you can expect to achieve peak ski-ready fitness by the arrival of the next winter season.
